My little graduate

This past (academic) year at Church, Sophia started to ask where the kids were going after receiving Holy Communion.  They were gong to  - Catechism.  She was actually too young to officially enroll her, so I hadn’t thought anything of it.  I just assumed that she was too young to even WANT to leave me.  I asked the Director if I could perhaps bring her in to see if she could “make it” through a class. She is a wonderful woman and suggested I actually go sit in the class with her to make her feel comfortable.  So, there I was, with Demetri in the sling, sitting in a little preschool chair in the corner of the room.  It was bittersweet watching her sitting at the table with the other kids.  Honestly, I just don't want her to grow up that fast.   She loved it!  I started bringing her every single Sunday after she received Communion.  If there was a week that there wasn’t class for some reason, she was so disappointed.  Well, this week was graduation and Sophia received her first little certificate for completing Catechism!  Surprisingly, she even posed for the picture below (a challenge lately)!  We were all very proud of her and very thankful to Ms. Evi for letting her participate in the class this year!  She is already looking forward to September.
